This section has ideas and subjects that
don't fit in the other categories.
Not all computer problems are hardware related or failures.
Some problems are with your software, although I normally don't advise about
software troubleshooting or repairs because the topic is so broad and complex.
Hardware on the other hand is complex also but hardware follows set rules.
Software has to follow some rules that the Operating System and hardware impose
but software programmers always find ways around the rules making the
troubleshooting of software that much more difficult and time consuming.
This is an expanding section, these topics were moved from my old
www.fix-it-blog.com. I didn't add the comments from the blog because it looks a
little weird having comments on a normal web page.
Most of these topics come from experience that I have gained over my career
as a Tech and a Senior Systems Admin. When time permits I will be adding more
of these special topics, some of them are a little off the beaten path for
normal computer owners.
